Frangelica Leo is the Founder and Executive Director of The Language Lounge. She is a New York State Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Frangelica received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens College with a focus in pre-dental science. She holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Adelphi University.
Frangelica has received a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech - Language - Hearing Association (ASHA) and is certified as a teacher of children with speech and language disabilities (TSSLD) in New York State. She is also a Department of Health approved therapist providing assessment and treatment for the birth to age three population.
Frangelica has a background working with children in various settings including NYC District 75 public schools; agencies; special needs preschools; and Early Intervention. She has clinical experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders, articulation and phonology disorders, language delays, augmentative communication technologies, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and feeding and swallowing disorders.
Frangelica is PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) trained and trained in The Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol and has experience utilizing ABA discrete trial teaching.
